The Friends of Alec Wilder Presents

Alec Wilder

40th Annual Concert

Saturday, November 8, 2025
from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At 54 Below, New York City.

This year’s concert will focus on Alec’s wonderful array of popular songs, with a stellar cast of Jed Distler, pianist and music director; Steve Ross, pianist and vocalist; Jeff Harnar, vocalist; and Marissa Mulder, vocalist.  Chuck Granata, longtime Columbia Records executive and respected Sinatra expert, will be this year’s honorary host, and Mark Walter is the show’s producer.

Tickets, deliberately priced low at $25, will be available through
54 Below’s website, www.54Below.org.

Come celebrate the amazing artistry of Alec Wilder’s popular song oeuvre as performed by supremely talented musicians, in a top-notch venue often affectionately referred to as “Broadway’s living room”!

There is no food or drink minimum, as, in order to make this event more affordable and accessible, neither will be served.  This one you don’t want to miss, so, as the saying goes, be there, or be square!

ABOUT THIS SITE

It is the intention of the followers of the music of Alec Wilder (1907-1980) to bring greater awareness and to preserve the life’s work of this unique and fascinating American composer. As Wilder was often misunderstood, ignored, and labeled a maverick, his music does not easily fit into any one category. Yet, he is truly an American original deserving wider recognition. For many reasons, including a self-professed lack of confidence, Wilder resisted notoriety and acclaim preferring simply to live life his way and to compose primarily for friends.
